Est. 1950 — DJ Realty Management
North End · Headquarters
420 Commercial Street
420 Commercial Street is the headquarters of DJ Realty Management on Boston's North End waterfront — the corner where our family first put down roots in 1920, back when the building was a Shell gas station.
A fitness studio on the ground floor, our office on the second. The original "Lubrication" sign from the gas-station days is still on the building.
The Building
Where our North End story began.
Before this address was our office, it was a Shell gas station — the place our family first put down roots in the North End in 1920. From there, one building became another, and what started as a single corner of Commercial Street grew into a third-generation, family-run real estate company built around long-term stewardship of the neighborhood.
Today, 420 Commercial Street is a working part of the community: a fitness studio on the ground floor, our office on the second. The original "Lubrication" sign from its gas-station days is still on the building — we kept it on purpose. A small, honest piece of history, and a reminder that in the North End, the best buildings don't erase their past; they carry it forward.
The Spaces
Two commercial floors, both with parking
The ground floor is currently leased to a fitness studio; the second floor is DJ Realty's office. Both come with off-street parking — rare for the North End.

The Neighborhood
Same corner since 1920.
420 Commercial Street sits on the upper North End waterfront — Langone Park and the Harborwalk are a short walk down the street, Christopher Columbus Park is a couple of blocks the other way, and Hanover Street's restaurants and pastry shops start a few blocks south. A neighborhood we've watched change for over a century, and one we still call home.
Why We're Different
Third generation. Same neighborhood. Same standards.
Owners on-site
Our office is in the building. When you call, you're calling someone who lives this neighborhood every day.
In-house maintenance
Licensed Construction Supervisor and full-time crew based right here in the North End. 24/7 for emergencies.
Long-term stewardship
We've been doing this for three generations. We're not flipping. We're staying.
