293 North Street sits on the harbor side of the North End, with water views from select units and the Boston Harborwalk just outside. North Street has been one of Boston's main arteries since it was officially named in 1852, and the Paul Revere House (c. 1680) is a few minutes' walk away.

The Neighborhood
Live in Boston's Little Italy without "commuting" to it.
North Street is one of the North End's older arteries — long tied to the working harbor, now a quiet step from the Boston Harborwalk and its 43-mile path along the city's shoreline. The neighborhood's lore lives close to the surface here, including the Great Molasses Flood of 1919 that unfolded just down the street along Commercial Street.

FAQ
How do I apply?+
Apply online directly through our website — no broker, no in-person visit required. You'll need proof of income (last two pay stubs or offer letter), photo ID, and a credit check authorization. Lease signing happens electronically through our secure portal.
What do I pay at lease signing?+
First month, last month, security deposit, and a $50 application fee per applicant. No broker fee, no amenity fee, no other surprises.
Do you allow pets?+
Pets are reviewed case-by-case rather than blanket-approved or denied. Reach out and we'll talk through breed, weight, and number.
Which units have water views?+
Select units at 293 North Street are harbor-facing. When you reach out about a specific apartment, we'll let you know whether that one has the water view.
Which units have a washer and dryer?+
Unit 1 has an in-unit washer and dryer. The other apartments don't have in-unit laundry, and there's no shared on-site laundry at 293 North Street — the closest laundromats are within a few minutes' walk in the North End.
Which units have A/C?+
Unit 1 has A/C. The other apartments don't include A/C, but window units are commonly installed (with our approval).
What utilities am I responsible for?+
Tenants pay their own utilities — heat, hot water, electric, and gas. Heat and hot water are not included in the rent at this building.
Is there an elevator at 293 North Street?+
No. 293 North Street is a seven-story walk-up. Unit 7 is the top-floor apartment.
How does Amazon Key entry work?+
Every DJ Realty building uses Amazon Key for keyless entry. You and trusted Amazon couriers get access through the Amazon Key app, so your packages land safely inside the building entryway instead of on the sidewalk.
Are the buildings monitored?+
Yes. All DJ Realty buildings have surveillance cameras recording 24/7. Footage is reviewed only when there's a reported incident.
Who handles maintenance requests?+
Our in-house construction team. We have a Licensed Construction Supervisor and Licensed Real Estate Broker on staff, with a full-time crew based in the North End. For non-emergency requests, we respond by email or text within 1 to 24 hours. For emergencies (water, heat, security), we respond 24/7.
What's the lease length?+
Standard leases are 12 months. We do offer some flexibility for academic-year leases (9-10 months) on select units — ask if that's what you need.
Can I tour remotely or apply from out of state?+
Yes. Many of our tenants apply before they're physically in Boston. We do video tours, accept remote applications, and handle electronic lease signing. You don't need to be in Boston until move-in day.
What's the parking situation?+
Tenants are eligible for a City of Boston resident on-street parking permit in the North End. The building does not have off-street parking.
